ARTISTS STATEMENT

Although the camera has been been my primary means of creative expression for the past 35 years, I am now also exploring traditional and digital art media including watercolor, oil, graphite and ink. I exhibit at shows and galleries as well as on my web site http://www.creativedialog.com .

My work involves landscapes, as well as historic structures, cars and boats. Photography is now primarily for gathering reference material for traditional and digital paintings. I am the president of the PhotoArts Guild, and an exhibiting member of the Corvallis Art Guild.

In a previous life I spent 28 years with Hewlett-Packard/Agilent Technologies in various middle and functional management positions in Manufacturing, Marketing, Quality and Operations. In addition I served for 23 years in the Air Force Reserves and retired as a Lt Colonel. For a number of years I was President of the Board of Directors of the HP Colorado Federal Credit Union. I hold BS and MS degrees in Engineering and Computer Science, from UC Berkeley and the University of Santa Clara respectively.
